<b>What is the purpose of this research?</b>
The purpose of this research is to examine how people evaluate others.<br/><br/>

<b>How long will I take part in this research?</b>
Your participation will take up to 15 minutes to complete.  <br/><br/>

<b>What can I expect if I take part in this research?</b>
As a participant, you will complete a decision-making task and answer some questions about your attitudes. At the end, you will receive more information about the study and feedback in your performance in the decision-making task.<br/><br/>
 
<b>What are the risks and possible discomforts?</b>
If you choose to participate, the effects should be comparable to those you would experience from viewing a computer monitor for 15 minutes and using a mouse or keyboard.<br/><br/>

<b>Are there any benefits from being in this research study?  </b>
There are no foreseeable benefits for study participants. Scientific knowledge will benefit from a greater understanding of how people perceive others.<br/><br/>

<b>Will I be compensated for participating in this research? </b>
You will not be financially compensated for participating in this research.<br/><br/>

<b>If I take part in this research, how will my privacy be protected? What happens to the information you collect? </b>
Project Implicit's standard <a href="JavaScript:void window.open('/implicit/privacypopup.html', 'FastResults', 'SCROLLBARS=YES,RESIZABLE=YES,WIDTH=300,HEIGHT=300');">privacy policy </a> applies to this study. Project Implicit uses the same secure hypertext transfer protocol (HTTPS) that banks and other commercial websites use to transfer credit card information in an encrypted format to provide strong security for data transfer to and from our website.<br/><br/>
Email and IP addresses are used to track participation at the website over time. However, research data collected at the website is associated with an anonymous number and stored separately from email addresses and demographic information. To ensure the privacy of individual data, email and IP addresses are never directly connected to any research data. Email and IP addresses will never be used without explicit permission from the participant and will never be disclosed or shared with any third-party.<br/><br/>
Your data will be stored indefinitely on Project Implicit servers and will be made publicly available without identifiable information (e.g., demographic information, email and IP addresses) at the Open Science Framework (<a href="https://osf.io">osf.io</a>). Your data may also be re-used for analysis in future studies.<br/><br/>
